Base is software to help teacher and administrators identify and treat students with mental illness. One of the key features of the software is that Base keeps track of everything that is typed even if it is deleted. These entries are logged and scanned to see if they contain "firewords". Firewords are keywords that if used in an entry the teacher will be notified.
I was tasked with re-designing a page in Base Education's Admin. The problem was that all firewords were being recorded and in the instance where mutiple firewords were used the important information would get pushed far down the page and the information harder to absorb. The solution would be to rearrange the information so that the firewords had more space to be displayed and well as be housed in a dropdown menu. This made it easier for users to see when there were fireword responses and have to ability to click into a dropdown to see more rather than having it all displayed all the time.
